Review of Naruto (Manga Version) #1
Welcome to my review of the Naruto manga! Chapters for Naruto are still currently being made by Masashi Kishimoto, and as of this posting it is on chapter 688. As with any review, this is just based on my thoughts and does not reflect what you may think of the manga. Now on to the review!

Synopsis
Before Naruto's birth, a great demon fox had attacked the Hidden Leaf Village. A man known as the 4th Hokage sealed the demon inside the newly born Naruto, causing him to unknowingly grow up detested by his fellow villagers. Despite his lack of talent in many areas of ninjutsu, Naruto strives for only one goal: to gain the title of Hokage, the strongest ninja in his village. Desiring the respect he never received, Naruto works towards his dream with fellow friends Sasuke and Sakura and mentor Kakashi as they go through many trials and battles that come with being a ninja.

Plot
The plot to Naruto is very interesting. At first it was just plain old ninjas fighting against each other because they want to become the strongest, and then the series started to change a bit more and the entire plot began to revolve around the different ways to bring about world peace. From organizations trying to exact their plan for world domination and to bring world peace once they rule the world to Naruto's quest to bring world peace in his own ways. Some people may or may not like the fact the plot changed between these two, but personally I really liked the fact that it changed from mindless fighting to an actually thought out plot that had some actual depth to it. The plot scores a 8/10 from me. I took 2 points just due to the fact at some points there are hold in the plot that are just completely absurd and make no sense at all.

Characters
The characters in Naruto are really hit or miss. Some characters have a certain likeability to them that makes you want them to be seen in the series more often, but with certain other characters they are just stupidly annoying and you just wish their scene will end. Most of the characters do end up maturing and growing up during the mid-series timeskip, but even then some of the characters stay as annoying and useless as always. I personally had a few ninjas that I didn't like in anyway, but once I started catching up with the series I began to like them more and more. I give the character section a 5/10 due to where I can see a lot of characters getting hate from some readers and not being liked at all.

Action
Well, as most of you know the action in Naruto is very, very good and that's mainly what the manga and show are known for. The action isn't your generic sword fighting, magic casting blow everything up anime, it's ninjas fighting in hand to hand combat (also using ninja stars and whatnot). This is really what sparked me to watch the show, but way later on in the series it started turning into more or less ninjas using magic, but none the less the fighting in this manga has some of the best fighting I've ever seen in a manga. The fighting gets a 9/10 and I don't took one point due to the fact that in the most recent arc it's slowly begun to turn into magic.

Art
This series has some really outstanding art. Some pages you can look at and you can tell that Kishimoto really put a lot of effort into the drawing. The art in this is honestly second to none and I really can't find any flaws in it, it's pretty outstanding! In the most recent chapters, there have been some pages that left me in awe at how amazing they are and how detailed they look! Solid 10/10 on the art, it's really amazing and like I said I can't find any flaws in his art style.

Final Thoughts
Overall, you can tell Kishimoto put a lot of hard work and dedication into this series and it's definantely in my top 3 for most suggested manga. It gets a solid 8/10, and the only marks that are being docked is to average it out due to the bad mark on the characters! I sincerely hoped you guys enjoyed this short review and look into reading this manga in your spare time!
