Background Information:
A few years ago I was on another forum, and we played a game simply labelled as "The Nation Game", and it sparked many game ideas. Which also lead to several forums, and actually many other things to be created from this generic idea. However, I'd like to bring back to the routes. It all started on forums like these, with kids like you. We played D&D, and quested. So I'd like to bring it back. I hope you guys enjoy it. I'll be hosting this game.

Some Simple Pre-cursor Game Rules:
- Avoid posting if you're eliminated, or unable to compete in these games for any reason
- Treat everyone with respect
- The Game Host's (me) say is final
Spots Open To Play:
Country Owners
1.) God (@Leader) DEAD. 5TH PLACE
2.) Plad Vutin (@Alex) DEAD. 2ND PLACE
3.) Fuhrer (@Singularity) DEAD. 3RD PLACE
4.) Mr. Happy (@"Happiness") DEAD. 4TH PLACE
5.) President Saikou (@Saikou) WINNER. 1ST PLACE
How To Play
The rules are simple, you are given a certain amount of information and you buy a country; as for misc players they are either trying to steal those countries or cause problems. There are several occasions where they may actually help you.
You must try to govern your country in order to eventually either reach a scientific victory (solving world hunger, and world peace), or conquering the world.
Each post you make is some kind of action, and I will respond to the effect of the action.
Examples
If player one decides to attack player two, I decide the causalities.
If player two decides to launch a nuclear missile without realizing it doesn't have any, I'll intervene.
Each country bought comes with certain perks.
Honestly though, playing is explained through playing.
Things To Remember
Time in this game is relative to a real life month being give or less an ingame year.Soliders:
You're soldiers are separated into three catergories.
Air, Land, and Sea. Other Misc units may come along as the game evolves.
Ex: Space Laser, Nuclear Submarine, Spy, etc.
Ex
A player can have
Air: 10 soldiers, Land: 50 soldiers, Sea: 25 soldiers
Approval Rating:
This is a big one, this shows how much the people of your country approve of you. A 100% approval means everyone loves you.
Money:
At the beginning of the game you are given an amount of money, and are required to spend wisely and earn your investment back.
LETS BEGIN.
WHERE WE ARE
Initial Players, you all start with. 20 Million Currency, 500 Troops, and Neutral (50%) approval.
Countries For Sale:
![[Image: 316s1hj.jpg]](http://i62.tinypic.com/316s1hj.jpg)
This island is unexplored, and is a gamble. You won't receive many benefits with this one, except that it is great for resources because none have obviously been stripped here, and the cost is low.
Price - 1 Million Currency
2 - Madagascar
The island has broken into recent civil war, and is calling for a new leader. Island provides a good base infrastructure but despises governments that aren't a democracy. You'll have some rebels to deal with if you aren't of the democracy type. (Other two parties are handled by the game host aka me in a democracy or by two other players that you'd have to select). Another downside of this island is the expense.
Price - 15 Million Currency
3 - The Philippines
A lot of anarchy islands, known for some resorts here and there but spotty. A democracy might have trouble forming here, and it would help if a dictator could force unite these people. However, either way if you take this country you'll have to face some rebels. On the upside, you'll have plenty of workers if you pay them right or... enslave them. The infrastructure here is mixed and mashed on the islands. Defending them would be an interesting story.
Price - 5 Million Currency
4 - Iceland SOLD
Disease has left the island's population desolated, and few remaining have stayed and it will be an easy land to buy. However with the large amount of land, you'll be faced with a higher price. Iceland is bound with a plenty of resources and a good vantage point for protection as long as you don't piss off the wrong people. However because Iceland is so isolated from the rest of the world, you'll have to worry about natural disasters affecting you more than the other countries.
Price - 10 Million Currency
5 - Alaska SOLD
Breaking away from the United States due to failing government, you'll easily gain the enemy of the United States. However you gain Alaska's great working force, resources, and land. You'll also gain a minor approval rating.
Price - 20 Million Currency
ALL COUNTRIES SOLD.
