Action (pew pew) animu.
Soul Eater - Soul Eater is a pretty well known anime, since it is considerably really good. There are silly moments, so this could be partially considered `comedy`, but I wouldn't, by a long shot, put this under a comedic genre.
Sword Art Online - This is a really good anime, however, only part of it is what makes it good. For the first half of the anime, you are introduced to characters that may seem meaningless, however, they actually add onto the story more than one would think. The plot, or rather general idea for it, is great, but
Spoiler:
this has its' downs around episode 14 and onward
Romance animu.
Guilty Crown - It is a good action anime with a dab of romance, which is the cherry on top.
Spoiler:
It has a sad ending, so you may want to exercise your tears before the last few episodes.
Mekakucity Actors - It has good graphics and audio, however, like all, or at least most, anime, this has its' down points, and in this one there are quite a few of them. This also has a romantic background to it, and a few saddening moments, but nothing to the point of crying. Well, not for me anyways.
Kyoukai no Kanata - This is more leaned towards action than romance, but it's still a visible genre. I recommend it for the plot, and Kuriyama is a cutie.
Comedy animu.
The World God Only Knows - This is an anime with a heavy romantic background to it, hell, the plot is built for it. However, there are plenty of good laughs in this, and even though I placed this under `comedy`, it's more towards romance. I put it under comedy, and not romance, because even though it has a romance background, it still provides enough material to have a comedic sub-genre.
I Can't Understand What my Husband is Saying! - This anime is practically made for comedy. It is (pardon the language) funny as fuck, and is quite possibly one of the best comedy animes I have seen in a long time. It has sexual references and jokes in it, so proceed with caution.
Things you may want to stay away from:
Naruto - I can wholeheartedly say stay away from this anime. It is good in its' first few (maybe 50 or so) episodes, but starts to be repetitive. I am, by no means, saying don't watch it. By all means, watch it if you wish, but proceed with caution as this can get rather repetitive.
Fairy Tail - This is a REALLY good anime, however, like Naruto, it ends up getting really repetitive. I recommend this anime, but only maybe the first hundred episodes. After that, you might as well move onto Fairy Tail 2014
And remember:
- Subs, not dubs.
- Everyone has an opinion.
